City of Athens and Limestone County-Sponsored Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program (ATRIP) Projects, Rounds 1-3.   Provide surveying, civil design, construction materials testing (CMT), construction engineering and inspection (CE&I) services, and project management for several roadway resurfacing projects, roadway widening projects, culvert replacements, and bridge replacements throughout Limestone County.  

Air Cargo Ramp Expansion Phase 4

Provided construction materials testing for the Air Cargo Ramp expansion project at the Huntsville International Airport.

Asahi Kasei Plastics

Morell Engineering  provided CMT and project management services at the new Asahi Kasei Plastics manufacturing facility located in Athens, AL. This work included soil testing during site grading, foundation and reinforcing steel observations, aggregate base stone and asphalt testing during paving, concrete testing, and structural masonry observations during CMU wall construction.

Athens High School

Morell Engineering provided construction materials testing (CMT) and project management services at the new Athens High School project located in Athens, AL. This work has included soil testing during site grading, foundation and reinforcing steel observations, aggregate base stone and asphalt testing during paving, and concrete testing. We also performed structural masonry observations during CMU wall construction and fireproofing inspections. 

The Shoppes at Redstone Square

Morell Engineering performed construction materials testing services for the Shoppes at Redstone Square development. The development included construction of a 45,600 square-foot grocery store, a 14,000 square-foot shop, and associated parking and drive areas.
