18L-36R Pavement Rehabilitation Project
The Huntsville International Airport project includes mill and overlay of Runway 18L-36R and connectors, along with asphalt rejuvenation of blast pads and shoulders. Morell Engineering provided QA materials testing and QC surveying services.
Group VI Improvements, Phases 4A & 4B
The Huntsville International Airport project included a new taxiway and connectors along Runway 18L-36R. Morell Engineering provided geotechnical engineering, RPR, CMT, and QA surveying services.
Project Fox
New road to service new hangers and Taxiway at Pryor Field.
Taxiway Whiskey Pavement Rehabilitation
The project included mill and overlay of multiple taxiways, crack sealing, drainage improvements, taxiway lighting upgrades, and reconfiguration of the north Taxiway Whiskey end. Morell Engineering provided surveying, civil design, geotechnical engineering, and construction administration services.
New ARFF Station
The new $14.4 million, 21,000-square-foot ARFF Station at Huntsville International Airport is designed for rapid emergency response, featuring high-clearance apparatus bays, specialized living quarters, advanced communication systems, and direct runway access. Morell Engineering provided surveying, civil design, environmental assessment, geotechnical engineering, and construction administration services.
New Private Hangar and Apron Extension
The project included site design for a private 100' × 80' aircraft hangar and apron extension at Pryor Field Regional Airport. Morell Engineering provided surveying, civil design, and construction materials testing services.
Project Fox Industrial Access
The project included a new access roadway connecting Airport Road to the Pryor Field property line to support Project Fox, an industrial development at Pryor Field Regional Airport. Morell Engineering provided surveying, civil design, geotechnical engineering, and CE&I services.
