Project Details
The MidTown Centre Publix development required several access improvements surrounding the site. The Pryor Street single-lane roundabout was constructed to accommodate the residential connection north of the site. A new signal was installed at the intersection of US Highway 31 and Black and Gold Drive and was designed to synchronize traffic patterns and provide a dedicated, safe access point for the shopping center and the adjacent Athens Middle School. Additional turn lanes, intersection design, and highway median crossover removals were included in this project.
Morell Engineering provided surveying, civil design, geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing (CMT), and construction engineering & inspection (CE&I) services for this project.
