Senior Civil Engineer

  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Work Experience: 10 years in Civil Design Years
  • Education Requirements: B.S. in Civil Engineering
  • Required Qualifications: Active Professional Engineering (PE) Registration

Skills and Abilities:

  • Design experience for commercial building sites, land development (including water, sewer, and natural gas), residential subdivisions, municipal projects, transportation and highway, aviation, school sites, industrial sites, utilities and drainage
  • Proficient in MicroStation/In Roads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Carlson
  • Familiar with Alabama Department of Transportation design standards and requirements
  • Ability to remain organized, pay strict attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrate ability to take initiative and operate with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent project management skills

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs

Some Duties:

  • Provide direction to team regarding project execution and site designs
  • Review required documents and provide direction and feedback to team
  • Develop and maintain excellent professional relationships with current and potential clients
  • Communicate regularly with clients and provide project status updates
  • Monitor project work scopes, schedules, and budgets
  • Oversee completion of designs, production and review of design documents
  • Utilize excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to recommend solutions
  • Maintain knowledge of city, county, and state project requirements
  • Lead, mentor and develop team
  • Duties may change and associates may be required to perform other duties as assigned
